With the average school day lasting seven hours, quality out-of- school programs supplement education. This fund supports programs that help keep Oregon students engaged outside the traditional classroom. After-school activities support positive youth development and improve school attendance — which boosts academic performance and increases the likelihood of high school graduation and post-secondary opportunities.
